MPM Wells Management Rig Contractor HSE Drilling Engagement.jpgThe Well Management MPM – PAC HSE Quarterly Meeting Q4 2018 was successfully conducted on 14thFebruary 2019, attended by nearly 40 participants from the drilling community. This HSE engagement was supported by PACs (Shell, Exxon, Repsol, EnQuest, Hess, Petrofac, SE&P, Nippon, Murphy, Mubadala, IPC, Destini, Vestigo and Coastal) and 5 Rig Contractor ( Perisai, Velesto, Aban, Seadrill, Destini Oil and SKD). The topic that been covered for this half day engagement:

  • 2018 Drilling HSE Performance and 2019 Outlook which include monthly HSE visit.
  • Award presentation to a few selected categories.

The event was officiated by Head of Well Management, En. M Zulkifli Zakaria at 2:30 pm. En. Zulkifli commended on the result of all the PAC and Rig Contractor and encourage them to achieved Aim Zero HSE performance in 2019.

En. Shahril Ridzauddin Mohd Mokhtar (Head of Completions, MPM) then presented the 2018 drilling HSE performance across all operator and Service Company. This include on how the HSE data was derived from 80 wells drilled and completed by 13 PAC.




For the rest of the afternoon, four HSE sharings were presented as follows:

  • PCSB – 2018 Wells HSE Performance
  • HESS – 2018 EHS Performance Update & Tropical Storm PABUK Naga 8 Evacuation
  • VELESTO – PABUK Tropical Storm Evacuation (Naga 8)
  • DESTINI OIL – HSE Performance Journey for Well Abandonment Project at Pulai B

The 2018 performance showed a vast improvement. Hence, MPM Wells Management awarded a few Focused Recognition awards to the best performers from both Operators and Service Companies. The list of aware recipients is as follows:

  • 2018 Best Rig Contractor Best Drilling HSE Performance - PERISAI PETROLUEM (PP-101 RIG)
  • 2018 PAC Best Drilling HSE Performance - REPSOL MALAYSIA LIMITED
